Sign of Support

The day of the School Board election saw one final push of support for saving the schools with a decent turnout of protestors and supporters, protestors became a little antsy as the time of the vote grew closer and when it was time of the vote many protestors and media were not allowed into the board meeting due to size constraints. Inside the board meeting CTU president and many city aldermen gave case and provided claims why schools in their district should be saved. After they spoke it was given to 50 speakers of the public where most opposed the decision to close schools and some supported the decision. Some speakers took it too far and caused disturbances during this time and had to be removed by security and city police. Finally the vote occurred and 49 out of the original 54 were closed along with one high school program. Though protestors outside dwindled to about a dozen, they vowed this wouldn't be the end of the fight.
