Rham Shows His Support

Saturday morning here in Chicago before the parade was the wreath laying ceremony in Daley Plaza, where representatives of all branches to the United States armed forcers gave speeches and showed their support along with Mayor Rahm Emanuel, former defense secretary Leon Panetta, and Illinois Governor Pat Quinn. After the speeches was the wreath laying ceremony where families and military representatives laid down the wreathes next to the eternal flame in Daley Plaza.

After the ceremony was the parade, which was, lead off by members of each of the United States armed forces and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Former defense secretary Leon Panetta. When they arrived to their reviewing platform, groups from school ROTC programs and former veterans paraded and gave their respect to those on the viewing platform and marched down State Street. The parade lasted about 2 hours with a large turn out.
